IT ALL STARTS WITH FOOD WASTE

We have engaged a Sustainability Officer who has run other FOGO bin Pilots in SEQLD to be our lead consultant on our Circular Business Transition Pilot we are rolling out annually in Port Douglas and Cairns in 2023.


Amanda, our Sustainability Officer who has run an Eco Resort in Indonesia for 10 years while taking Swedish Hoteliers through the supply chain of waste to show them how to do tourism differently.   As our moto is RADICAL COLLABORATION we are developing our license within  GreenKPI that will provide you and your Hospitality team an easy checklist to go through on your own that will populate a Sustainability Report that you can shout about in your online marketing.  Your Green USP, Unique Selling Point.


As the Waste Levy increases waste collection costs and the new Minimum Wage increase is rolled out nationally we are looking at ways to reduce business costs around waste management by testing and validating new and existing composting solutions for your Food Organics and Garden Organics waste = FOGO.


We have spoken to over 200+ people in Waste, Sustainability and Circular Economy to come up with this framework.   Each solution will be customised to each business.


We provide a Done With You framework that is easy for you to update Annually so it isn't more work for you and your management, we coach you and your team on how and why to make the changes and show how to reduce costs in more ways than in your waste.


Our ongoing business offer will be to provide those Resorts, Hotels, Marinas and MUDs that are interested in going through our customised GreenKPI checklist with recommended solutions, products and further services so that we can spread our solution Australia Wide within this decade.

Food waste makes up 60% of the waste that goes to Landfill in FNQ, we are on a mission to reduce that.  Methane is worse than CO2 and we can reduce it faster, there is always going to be food waste which is why it is our key waste stream we are finding a low carbon solution for.

    Then we get your business on GreenKPI to help populate your Sustainability Report to promote to your customers on your website.

    We want to compliment what you already have in place, we are anywhere between optimisation or start from scratch so knowing where you are at is key.

  • How Long Is The Pilot?

    The Pilot runs over the 12 months.  We will be working closely with you and your team to make sure we develop an effective customised Waste management solution.  

  • About The Coaching?

    Apart from Sustainability Officer to do your waste audit, we have GreenKPI and their systems which has proven to make small changes with big impacts work in any size business.  


    We also work with your Sustainability Officer or assigned waste ambassador [passionate eco human] to make sure they can roll out the new training and frameworks in your business and keep them updated on tested tweaks that could reduce costs and simplify your trainings over the years of your membership with us.  

  • Our Goal Is Zero Waste To Landfill

    That means sorting your waste and sending it to someone who has an innovative idea that sees it go on to have a 2nd, 3rd life.  We are working on identifying key waste systems that will in our first year divert 40-70% of the FOGO waste from landfill which will be the largest impact waste diversion.

Join us in our Circular Citizen Challenge where you can show the businesses you buy from that you want them to also become a Zero Waste Business so that you can be a Carbon Neutral Human while living in or visiting FNQ.

We believe that when we work together we can slow and even reverse climate change, reduce the likelihood of 1billion Climate Change refugees and save the Daintree and Great Barrier Reef and all the wildlife that call both our World Heritage listed assets home, at the same time. 


We are doing this challenge in 2 ways.  Measuring your carbon footprint through the Reforest App.
We are asking those of you who have a great waste sorting system at home to share your waste sorting or reduction hacks on your Instagram or Facebook page so that we can curate those lessons in our Online Course we are building for our Circular Citizen membership. 

We believe in collective intelligence as the way to learn and overcome things faster, so we are bringing you out of socials and onto an online course where we can put those key lessons into a powerful checklist that we can share, over and over again.

Circular Business Transition Pilot.
Port Douglas & Cairns Starts In 2023.

As a Social Enterprise we are funding the development of a Tourism checklist within GreenKPI so as we learn from each business we work with we make the checklist specific for the Hospitality Industry, MUDs and Marinas.  Our goal is to REDUCE and to divert Food Waste from landfill with a low carbon footprint.   

We are providing a hands on, custom waste management audit and solutions that is data-driven to ensure it saves your business money while doing some good for the community.   We are working with local innovators and young entrepreneurs to collect your FOGO, Food Organics Garden Organics waste and make it an income for your local community or school.  

Our goal is to focus on Cairns & Port Douglas restaurants and Hotels, develop a viable transition framework to ripple out our Circular Business Transition framework with interested councils Australia wide.


Domestic FOGO bins will be introduced in Cairns by 2026 we are focusing on Commercial In Place FOGO waste solutions that save money for your business while helping teach the next generation about the value in waste so we move to a Circular Economy as fast as possible.  💚
